Very basic dryer with super capacity for extra large loads. Features work as described; dries clothes thoroughly. No wrinkle/cool down are best features. No drum light or alarms. Serves purpose of convenience to do laundry in comfort of home. DIYers beware dryer requires wiring power supply; tools are needed. Also recommended vent hose may cause dryer to stick out from wall greatly or not sit flush in area designated. Evaluate space can cut hose to suit need or use a curved vent boot. At my age, I thought I had learned what I needed to know about washing machines. I was very clear about my expectations when I went shopping: ” it doesn’t have to make waffles or get 157 channels, it just has to wash my clothes”. Imagine my surprise when I ran my first load, and an item that had been dingy for several years came out sparkling! I am not sure how it does it , but my Amana washer gets clothes SO clean, first time, every time. For the first time in my life, I actually look forward to laundry day! My Whirlpool dryer stopped working after 20 years. The appliance repair person told me that the needed part was no longer available; therefore it could not be repaired. I decided to purchase a new dryer from a small local appliance store. I had been advised that Whirlpool makes most dryers including Amana. Not needing extra bells and whistles on a clothes dryer I purchased a basic Amana. This is not a fancy piece of equipment. I especially like the placement of the lint filter. Dyer works great, dries clothes very quickly. Never had to re-start the cycle once done. A great deal for the money, I was a little bit worried that it wouldn’t work as well as some of the new models but this dryer performs wonderfully and for only a fraction of what the other dryers were going for. I bought this washer and dryer set about 2 months ago and I’m very pleased. I was skeptical because of the low price but the pair work amazing! I really enjoy that the washer has a sensor in it and evens the load out itself if needed. The washer will not work unless there’s clothing inside. The dryer is awesome too because it had options for energy saving heat, which I enjoy! I would absolutely recommend this set. Why pay more for applicants that will work the same? Low price and great product!
