I bought this microwave as a house warming gift for my daughter. My daughter lives up north in a rural area, and the microwave arrived in 2 days, the time frame that was given on the listing. My daughter said it is perfect for her, fits well in her small studio. It was nicely packaged, simple to use, and easy to clean and care for. Reasonable price. I love Black and Decker products.

I had to replace my Tappan microwave I’ve had since January of 1993. That’s not a typo. I’ve had it almost 32 years. Original lightbulb too. Broke my heart when it stopped working normally. Obviously they don’t make those anymore. Soooo…
After tons of research, I chose this Black & Decker. I knew it had a push bar to open the door versus a pull handle like my Tappan. I wanted a handle. Still getting used to the change. Has nothing to do with the functionality; just me learning the change.
Only issue is it can slide around a bit when pushing the bar to open the door or press the buttons or shut the door. I solved that with a $1 non-slip pad from the dollar store I put underneath it. Issue solved!
Easy to plug in and use. It looks very elegant and modern, yet it also blends in with my fairly eclectic decor. It’s quiet and beeps 5 times when done. The power levels seem extremely accurate. Fits all my larger dinner plates and TV dinners.
Bottom line: after all my research, I’m confident I chose the right one for my needs. Keep in mind, I’m single with my kitty cat. So it’s just me using it as an adult.

I have only used a couple of days but B&D is usually reliable. I got rid of an 1100 W microwave because it took up too much counter space and blew fuse if used with air fryer. I worried that a smaller (700 W) would be terrible in comparison but it just takes a bit longer. Steel cut oats used to take 2 mins 20 seconds and this one took 3 minutes.
I am returning this just because frozen meals don’t seem to heat right through and I worry about dangers of undercooked. Part was very hot and the rest just warm. I will order one size up to hopefully solve that. Disappointed since returning is not easy.

This BLACK+DECKER EM031MB11 Digital Microwave Oven meets my needs, which is primarily to heat frozen vegetables and reheat previously prepared meals. I also use it to cook some fresh items and to defrost frozen foods, both of which it does well.
My minor complaints are similar to what I encountered while reading the reviews. The noise level is somewhat high and changes levels while cooking. The door open button sticks, then pops back, which suggests that the spring mechanism is faulty. Those 2 flaws, though annoying, were minor enough for me to avoid the hassle of repackaging and schlepping this, somewhat heavy (for me) item to a store or shipping service to return.
It arrived promptly and was well packaged. For how it functions, it is reasonably priced.

I bought this microwave for my kiddo that is in the military and living in a dorm room. He has only so much space, but wanted something to heat food up in his room. It fit perfectly on top of a small fridge, so it didn’t take up much space and he loves having the freedom of cooking in his room. It was a good price and it has helped him out a lot š

I had to buy a $5 package of sticky pads to put on the bottom of the microwave, otherwise it slid across the counter when we opened it. This was good fix but the $5 that I had to spend is frustrating because it would have cost the manufacturer mere pennies to add gripper pads to the bottom. Also after 6 months the turntable now barely turns, even when microwaving food on my light weight Corelle dinner plates. But hey, the dinner plates fit and the size of the microwave is a much better fit on my counter.

I’ve used two different instances of this microwave in two different apartments. The first still worked fine after years of use, I just decided after years of it sitting directly adjacent to the stove area in my kitchen, the exterior was hard enough to clean off that I’d rather buy a new one than ship the old. Never had any complaints in my time using them.
