Most of the negative reviews suggest that this microwave will not cook frozen meals. Unless they all got “lemons”, that is nonsense.
Obviously, because of the lower wattage, it will take slightly longer to cook frozen means (4:30 at 1100W -> 7 mins at 900W), but I haven’t found it an issue.
It is also the first microwave that I have had where the function buttons actually work. Example, if I want a baked potato, I hit the button, select the number and press start … and I get a perfectly cooked baked potato.

Whilst looking for a replacement microwave for the 37 year old GE Spacemaker II (back then they knew how to build things so they’d last), reading the one-star reviews on ALL of them is enough to give you the shivers, one ultimately has to decide on something. Or forego having a microwave altogether. After several days of being without: enduring mediocre coffee, hot if fresh from a brewed pot, but meh otherwise, waiting forever for things to thaw, and so forth, we decided to roll the proverbial dice and get one.
Which led us to this one. We wanted something with a bit more power than the venerable GE, but as we mainly use the microwave for reheating and defrosting, not cooking, we didn’t need one that would zap something with too much energy. Why use a battleaxe when a stiletto will do? Given how many of these things are now all-in-one appliances with air fryers, grills, and who knows what all else anymore, we took to the KISS principle, thinking that this is a microwave oven, that’s all it needs to do. Further, after reading about key panels that are so dim you need a flashlight to read them, this unit with a more minimal set of controls was also appealing.
Pros:
Small space – the GE fits in a shelf space cut out to fit around our cabinets, but do you think GE would still have one that could be put into the same space now? “Beautiful dreamer, wake unto me…” Not happening. So since we don’t want a hole in the cabinet space, the old one makes a great place to store our cat bowls and similar items. There is still function after death. So this Comfee claims some of the counter space, but not too much.
Nice interface – I did have to read the manual to find why pressing the kitchen timer button wasn’t microwaving, it really is only a timer, the actual selection of time is a two-step process – select power level, then time by turning the dial.
Door with a handle. I was considering some with a “push the button” to open the door, but got to thinking that it is a spring in there to release the door, given the quality these days, they might not use a spring that will take a lot of repeated use.
Instant 30 seconds with tap of start button. Great for quick reheat. Can press multiple times if needed.
Tray brings item back to original position. When heating coffee, for example, you don’t want to have to reach around the hot mug to get to the handle. This puts the handle back in front of you for much easier removal.
Packed well and arrived safely – good job on the packing and shipping.
Things I wish it would do:
Well, you can’t have everything, I realize, but it would be nice if you could set the Eco mode which saves power when not using the microwave by turning off the display to be the default mode, rather than having to re-initiate it each time. Beeps to remind you that “hey, stupid, you left the food in the microwave again” would be nice. One second increments between 1-20 seconds would be nice, it jumps in units of five at first, then 10. I can live with it, but you don’t have quite the precision of a keypad.
In conclusion, so far, so good. Now the real test is to see how long it lasts. The 37 year old GE sets a pretty high bar to clear…

I like the color and the fact that it works quietly. I don’t like selecting minutes, you have to use the power button, then start, select the minutes with the knob and start again.

Bought for my neice after reviewing in consumer reports. So many to choose from but it has all the bells and whistles for her use. The shipping was perfect could pick the time frame. Had to be delivered to her in person. Can’t leave anything at the door in NY. It all worked out.

Ā I purchased a retro-style microwave for about CAD $370, shipped from the US. It took about 8 days to arrive, and I was excited because I loved the look and color.
However, I noticed two issues upon receiving it.
Firstly, the microwave was severely wobbly. One of the four legs was bent inward, making it unstable on any surface. Adjusting the legs wasn’t possible, and one appeared damaged.
Secondly, the microwave door was misaligned. The upper part of the door was close to the body, while the lower part had a noticeable gap. This wasn’t a major issue for me, but the wobbling was unacceptable.
Additionally, the microwave is very heavy, making the return process and carrying it to the post office a big pain. Despite this inconvenience, I have to return it because the wobbling is unacceptable. I did not turn it on or try using it, as I decided to return it immediately due to these issues.
I requested a refund through Amazon, but the approval process takes 48 hours.
For such a price, I expect the producer and seller to check the quality control before packing and sending items to customers. Despite the high cost, I loved the look and color of the microwave and wished it worked properly, but it did not!

Got my microwave with same day shipping as I wanted it to warm up my dinner the same day I ordered it. Very lightweight and easy to use. Was able to reheat my dinner simply by pressing the 2 button. In the morning I reheated coffee and waffles by using the 1 and 2 buttons. I will read the manual and learn how to use it properly. It is very small inside but I wanted it mainly to reheat food not cook it. For that it serves it’s purpose. It’s so light it moves when you open the door you have to hold it in place. Not a major problem as I wanted one that was very light. Probably serves best as a second microwave not as your main one as it does have limitations.

Love the ability to turn off the beep sounds. It was very easy to set up; take it out the box, put the glass turntable in, set the clock and you are ready to go!

I’m pleased with the size and color, which fit perfectly into my limited kitchen space. However, Iāve noticed that it tends to retain odors quite strongly. While it performs its basic function well, the lingering smells are a bit of a drawback.

Great for it’s price. Heats things super hot even on 1 min. You have to like tug it open though. I guess that’s good bc there’s no latch that might break? Not much else to say. It’s heated a pot pie, a bowl of rice pork and veggies…a few cups of coffee, and a cup of instant Korean rice cake noodles. No burning or under heating. No noise that’s notable.
