UPDATE: 5 months later, this vacuum is still going strong! Zero issues, very handy, and does an amazing job of cleaning my home with shedding dogs. One feature that is fantastic which I did not mention earlier, is the ability to easily remove/clean the roller. Dyson never made anything easy. I referred my friends (also Dyson owners) to this vacuum and they are loving it as well š
I have had Dyson vacuums (2 of them) for the past 15 years. I have 3 large dogs that shed a lot and dark hardwood floors that show everything. I am a bit OCD when it comes to a clean house, so I vacuum daily (as well as I have a Roomba that runs daily). Though my floors looked clean after I vacuumed, the Roomba would find all sorts of hair and dirt that the vacuum had missed. My last Dyson (which is only 2 years old) would take forever to vacuum up hair or dirt (I had taken it to the Dyson repair center and they couldn’t find anything wrong with it). I was looking at buying another Dyson but they are expensive, so I started looking at other options. My options were limited, as I needed a 35-foot cord (I have a large house) and not many vacuums have that long of a cord (and even Dyson only offers a 35- foot cord on some models). I saw his Eureka and the price was right, so I thought I’d give it a chance. WOW! I’ve only had it for a few days but damn, I’m impressed. It sucks up dirt and hair in seconds and I only have to make one pass (unlike the Dyson where I would have to make multiple passes). The head is not as wide as my Dyson so I thought it would take me longer to vacuum, but it actually takes me less time since I only have to make one pass over an area. I also love that the Eureka is considerably less heavy than the Dyson, since I have multiple floors, and carrying the vacuum up and down the stairs is a workout. The ONLY con (which probably won’t affect most people) is I use the hose and wand on all the stairs. The Dyson hose and wand were connected, so it took just a second to pull it off the Dyson and get to work. The Eureka is not constantly connected, so it is a bit of a hassle (but really not that big of a deal) that I have to connect the hose and wand, to vacuum the stairs. If you want a vacuum that is better than Dyson but 1/4 of the price, go with this Eureka!

THE GOOD:
-Good suction power and the ability to strengthen/weaken that suction power on the hose tube. Be careful running over threads on rugs or any strings/headphones, etc. on the floor. It will suck them up fast!
-It’s nice that the bottom cover can be removed very easily using a coin (see picture) if something gets stuck or if hair, etc. needs to be removed from the roller. my old vacuum was held in place with six screws.
-Very easy to steer
– Pet hair roller, while the bristles only turn with the suction of the vacuum, can often stop. It still works well for vacuuming out the car and floor mats
– Washable filters will be nice to save money on throwaway ones. Instructions say to let dry for 24 hours but mine needed three days to totally dry.
– Good value for the price
ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT:
– This vacuum should but doesn’t come with the beige 4 inch attachment from my old vacuum shown in my photo and my old one is the same diameter as this hose so they can’t connect. I use it to clean countertops of food and dust before I wash them and also use the attachment it on the stairs. The only option with this one for something like that is the small round end of the hose or the bristled dusting brush. Further, by not having the flexibility of an extension hose, using the handle as the extension hose means the vacuum has to be three feet away from the edge of the counter and I can’t make tight angles An extension hose with a short end would make it much easier to vacuum sharper angels. I’ve looked at three hardware stores for a PVC pipe that would connect them but haven’t found one, yet.
– I don’t like the angled piece for using the hose. It’s awkward and doesn’t help.
-While the removable handle is nice because it allows for storage in smaller closets like mine, I would rather have an extension hose.
-The cord attaches very low on the machine and has to be held in place by my fingers up on the handle. Otherwise I trip on it every five feet.
– The pictures show this nice & easy push button maneuver to completely empty the canister, but you’ll still have to stick you hand up in it to remove the clumps of hair. Not too big of a deal for me, though
-As expected it comes in a very large box and would be very tempting for a porch pirate to run up and snag it. If you’re not positive you’ll be home, arrange for a pickup at one of the Amazon pickup locations near you.

Our last vacuum was a Eureka too. We had our old vacuum for 8 years and it had the best suction of any vacuums weāve had. Except the vacuum was really cheap in materials – every part of it was held togther with duct tape – but it cleaned our house beautifully.
So, we bought a new Eureka. This one is still made from cheap plastic, if not more so than our older vacuum. So far it cleans really well.
I love that itās so easy to push and has really great maneuverability.

BUY IT. I was wanting to get a “nice” vacuum but couldn’t afford the “nice” vacuum prices. After reading through reviews on what felt like a million vac listings, I bit the bullet and decided on this one. The suction is AMAZING. I have lots of pets and dirty kids. This vac seriously sucks it all away! I didn’t realize I had a literal LAYER of filth my shop vac was apparently never even touching when vacuuming my carpets. The attachments are perfect. Picks up pet hair like no other. Moving from carpet to hardwood is seamless and incredible. If something is lodged in the roller brush, the brush will shut off immediately and will trigger the red light. So it doesn’t allow you to just keep on going and destroy the vacuum with random crap your kids left under the couches. The swivel works perfectly. The design is sleek and not crazy bulky, while also being tall enough you don’t have to hunch over. Literally the only downside I’ve found is that it doesn’t perfectly vacuum up litter… but most don’t, so it’s not a huge deal. Also, don’t be like me… read the instructions;) turns out you have to press a button to trigger the brush roll, I thought it was broken. But that’s because I didn’t read. 10/10 recommend this vacuum!
