I read the reviews before purchasing this washer. As I recall the approval rating was 87%. So far so good. One month in with no complaints. My old Whirpool lasted 18 years. This one has a projected life of 8-10 years.

This is the first brand new washer that I have bought. It is nothing less than amazing. It still has the agitator. That something that I really wanted to ensure that my clothes were getting clea.

Been using it for two-person household for around four weeks. So far I like the machine. The only thing that doesn’t work so well is the auto water level setting. I had a small-medium sized load. After the washer was agitating for a few minutes, everything on top was still DRY and just agitating back and forth, dry. Luckily, the machine makes is easy to add water manually with a press of a button. I don’t even use the auto setting now. I am otherwise satisfied with the machine.

Love all of the room! Can comfortably wash our king sized bedding. There’s plenty of options for washing and the spin cycle does a great job reducing the work the dryer has to do.

It’s only been about 2 weeks with this, but so far I am pleased. The digital features are all easy to understand and use. The drum is big enough for my family of 5, and (thin) king sized comforters are handled easily. I like that you can choose the water level if you prefer. And the drum is quite deep (which can be a problem if you’re under 5’3″).
The agitator is better, imo, than the models without. I actually had an (agitator less) Maytag before this, that had all kinds of problems just around the 3 year mark, (constant replacement of shift actuator, etc), so honestly only time will tell how this GE performs.
That being said, this is actually a replacement for the (same model) that I ordered that worked for one wash then suddenly had issues (wouldn’t drain no matter what). So, I do believe there are some quality control issues and you may or may not get a dud, which is/was a huge hassle and lots of waiting for my new washer. The new replacement has been working great (knock on wood), but as is with most modern electronics, I won’t keep up my hopes. For the price point of these washers I do expect them to last longer than 4 or 5 years, but I almost think it’s intentional that they make them this way.

I love that it has an agitator in it. It holds a lot of clothes. It’s not too loud. I love that I can see what’s happening during the load too. I’ve been using it now for about 1 -2 weeks and have not had a single problem or complaint!! So happy this is the one I picked

I’ve had this washer for about 3 months now and I just don’t like it…I HATE it. It has been leaving lint balls all over my blankets, clothes basically everything I was in it gets little lint balls!! WHYYYY??? I’ve never had a washer do this to my clothes. I have to pull he little fuzz balls off of things all the time and it’s not just a few. I would not recommend this washer. It’s ruined so many blankets and clothes š”

I am following up from my review 2 days ago as I was trying to remove and replace the agitator and auger for the second time in this less than 5-year old machine. I had to call in the professional. Unable to use the procedure to line up the hole in the auger with the dot, he had to cut the auger off with a saw in order to get to the bolt that held the agitator on. In less than 18 months since I last replaced the agitator and auger, the threads on the agitator were completely stripped. The agitator was ruined since it had to be cut off. The stupid design for this auger removal underscores the reason I will avoid GE appliances from now on.

GE should be ashamed of designing such an awful agitator system, especially the way one has to remove it! It defies simplistic logic. I’ve had this machine for less than 5 years and am needing to replace the stripped agitator for the second time. I am having to call in professional help. This will be my last GE product.

Horrible washer. Do NOT buy! Autofill doesn’t work. Even selecting high water, the rinse only fills a little so clothes aren’t even submerged. No idea what this thing is doing. Fancy controls that mean you have no control!!!
