Great Washer/Dryer Combo for a small area. I had the same model before hurricane Ian trashed the old one. I could have gotten a fancier digital one, but I know this older analog technology will work for years.

We’ve bought it only few months ago: the washer gets stuck, doesn’t discharge water and leave clothes flooded. The dryer does not warm up. A total nightmare

Installation was straightforward and fit “easily” through a 24″ doorway. I like that so far every load I have washed has gone thru the spin cycle with almost no vibrations. The wash cycle makes noise, but it is afterall washing your clothes so noise is expected. With the door shut I can hardly hear the machine.
I had to level the unit so the dryer door remained open or else I would hit my head moving clothes from the washer to the dryer.
The machine has lights to tell you if it is washing, spinning or rinsing. However a plus and a minus is that the knob that sets the cycle (e.g. colors) doesn’t move during the cycle. I am used to viewing that knob to see where in the cleaning cycle the washer is working on. The plus side is I don’t have to turn the knob if I want to do the same type of load repeatedly.

The washer/dryer tower arrived quickly and was delivered with care. We had to install it ourselves, but it was really easy and the directions were clear. So far, it is working great and is almost twice the capacity of the one we replaced. Happy with the limited use to date.

This was just installed yesterday and during the first load we saw that the dryer has no heat, even though the gas valve is on. The washer is loud and during transmission of cycles there is a thump noise. The clothes are balanced in the washer by weight and position in the washing machine. Very unhappy. We paid a lot of money and we received a machine which is not functioning correctly. A lemon!

Overall the stackable washer/dryer is working good. I’ve only had it less than a month and so far there hasn’t been any problems. The only reason I’ve given it 4 stars, is mainly because the lid locks before starting the wash cycle and I’m unable to see how much water is being used to wash my clothes. I’ve always had a full sized washer/dryer, but because I’m in a smaller home, I am limited to a much smaller stackable washer/dryer combo. I can only wash a very small load at a time now. There’s only 1 short wash cycle and 1 short rinse, however the clothes do seem to be clean at the end of the cycle. Downside of the smaller wash loads is that I need to run the washer several times a week now.

Every 4 years I have to replace these . The 2024 version is a bit upgraded with selections on wash . But still no change in the noises when draining and the Lint cleaner and slide are the same . Other one broke. Very hard to close dryer door .the clasp is very snug on the body side.
Good news is This GE always Fits. Works . And I just got the extended warranty.

Washer does not wash clothes good and can barely stay in balance half the time. I’ve had to have two belts put on it. no help from GE with replacement, no help from Lowe’s, who sold it to me. it is the second one I’ve had do not recommend ever buying this unit.

This is the fifth washer I have owned and it is, by far, the worst of all. Even though I carefully sort my clothes by color, texture, and water temperature, and run a “clean” cycle before I wash my darks, this washer leaves pieces of lint and spots of white residue on my dark clothing. The white residue is very difficult to remove; it will not brush off like the lint. I end up looking terrible in my dark clothing, especially knits. There is no lint filter in this washer. Every other washer, including G.E., that I have owned had a lint filter.

Perfect fit in the condo ‘closet’. Easy to install (no need for additional electrical work) and hook up. Very convenient for installation of hoses and wiring. Operation is very straightforward and all wash and dry cycles are spot on. Hopefully this GE outlasts my previous GE of 20 years!
