I bought this little machine to sit on our basement bar. We do have a fridge behind the bar but it doesnāt have an ice maker.
The first cubes it produced within 10-15 minutes were thin, clear, small little hollow bullets and I was very disappointed; I told my husband that I was going to return the machine. However, I let it keep running and after an hour, I was pleasantly surprised, as it made thicker opaque bullet shaped cubes and I had enough for several drinks! At that point I changed my mind and decided to keep it.
I wouldnāt recommend for large crowds obviously but itās perfect for the two of us and maybe if we had one or two guests.

So this makes ice quickly but when it’s done (or out of water) the bucket holding the ice just slowly lets the ice melt again and so this unit continuously runs making ice, letting it melt and then remaking it – as such i’ve decided to just use it on a timer so it shuts off at night and then comes back on at 6 AM so it’s not just constantly re-making the same ice over and over again.
Not sure if i expected too much but it seems silly that the ice maker puts so much effort into making the ice and zero into keeping it.
This pulls 1.8A on 120v so lets say 216W running (AFAIR) so that’s a lot of power all day running continuously so i suggest unplugging when you don’t need it! ( i have solar so i care about using power) but ont the plus side, it does make ice, fairly quickly too.
I”ve been told that the ice melts quickly as well but given it’s size out the machine, that’s to be expected.

Itās summer and we like ice in all our drinks. During this hot season we load our freezer with a bag of ice. We donāt have a refrigerator that instantly makes ice. So we buy ice from the store. Itās bit of a hassle. So I bought this table top ice maker to try out. With the 3 in our household we donāt need a lot. It makes ice in less than 30 minutes. Itās not noisy, itās very sturdy and itās makes a good amount of ice. Iād say it makes ice for an 8 to10 oz glass. It does not hold ice in the machine if you leave it in the container. Because it not a refrigerator type of ice maker. I normally make the amount of ice I need and store it in the freezer. You can always turn it off when not in use. My family loves it because itās ice. Donāt have to go to the store anymore. š

This little icemaker is by no means energy efficient. It’s constantly making more ice because it isn’t insulated so it just melts and is frozen again. Minus one star just because of that. We unplug it when we don’t use it and I also put a thick rag over top to try and insulate it just a little. It seems to do a little good but probably is still pointless. It makes me feel better though. š
We use strictly distilled water as our tap is very hard and gross tasting. I wouldn’t use purified unless I had to just to keep mineral build up down.
The ice isn’t insanely hard and has a nice crunch without breaking teeth. It’s almost… melt in your mouth soft.
It’s small enough to fit on a small counter next to a Ninja air fryer. Ours has not leaked at all and it has a basic appearance. I’m very tempted to buy another one to make juice icecubes for fun.

I love my ice machine! I get enough ice for my daily needs in a reasonable amount of time. I fill it when I get home from work, and later have ice for my water and beverages. I let it run until I go to bed and fill my thermal lunch container and place in the fridge so I have ice ready for my iced coffee when I get home. I noticed that the first ice is thin, but it gets thicker with each batch. This has been a great appliance for me.

Ok after reading others reviews I was sorta scared to buy. I received it today. I let is sit for 2 hours as it said to do. I clean inside and I put the ice catch tray in the freezer till I was ready to make Ice. @ hours later i plug it in and put the ice tray back in I had in Freezer. I used Cold water I had in the fridge as I hear that help. IT DID. After it made a couple of batches of ice I add a few in the water that it used to make the ice so it would stay cold. It made a big deal. Made ice in about 8 mins and it was solid ice and not so much water ice as others have said. I think the colder the water the better when you pour it in the ice maker. As the water level would go down before it got to low i keep adding water back to the max level. I have had no issues so far. I love it. I will Update in a few if there any issues that pop up.

If your looking for a home bar ice maker this one isn’t too bad. Stylish for the back bar. Once it gets up to speed it produces 9 bullet shaped cubes in 8 minutes. It doesn’t give any audible signal when the water is low or the basket is full. Both conditions put the machine on hold so you kind of need to be on top of things. Ice is very wet when it comes out so I suggest getting it into a bag as soon as you can then expect to break up the ice after it freezes.

I live in an apartment and it doesn’t have the water line for the ice maker in my fridge. I was tired of the ice trays taking up room in my freezer, so thought I’d give this a try. I got it on Prime Day for a great price, and I couldn’t be happier with it. Super easy set up and instructions. It makes 9 barrel-shaped ice cubes about every 7 minutes. They’re not big ice cubes, but does the job. When the little basket is full you get a light that tells you to empty it. Also, when you need to add more water. I use the water from my Brita so it’s clean ice and doesn’t change the taste of my drink. When I’m just hanging out, I’ll start it up, make ice for a couple of hours and dump it into a bin in my freezer. The cubes do stick together because they are wet when you dump them, but come apart very easily when you stab them with a butter knife. Very happy with my purchase.
