I used this to blow the wood chips out of the 2×4’s after drilling holes to run wire. Super job. Worked great.
Also used it to blow the leaves out of my garage.

Bought this for my personal cleanup tasks while doing the Honey Do’s… Before I even got home my teen age son had it open and was demo-ing it to the rest of the kids. All of a sudden vacuuming was cool! And my new tool, a couple batteries, and a charger had been permanently relocated to the kitchen pantry. The wife had now decided it’s a kitchen tool, not to head back to the garage. “Yuck!”.
The two wand tubes and hard floor head are the real accessories which made the difference. Clean up of dry material is a snap, it’s easy to maneuver. A bit heavy for the wife and kids until they put a second hand on the body, then they are off and running. We have all concrete floors throughout the house. A 1.5Ah battery is good for 600-900 square feet depending on how thorough the operator is. In minutes, it’s about 15 minutes of run time. That’s why I lost two batteries and a charger to the pantry to support the vacuum. A bigger battery would definitely help… though adds weight for small helpers. I’d rather keep the small helpers engaged and swap batteries more often.
As a vacuum alone the nozzle feels rather short and the whole unit a bit bloated… but it holds a bunch of stuff after making a mess. It’s not too loud. Quieter than I had expected, but requires raising your voice to speak over.
In a power sense it definitely has enough, though is not as strong as a shop vac. Better than other handheld vacs I’ve used… but I have not used very many to make a good comparison. So if you want to vacuum the upholstery in the car… stick with a good old fashion shop vac. If you are buying only one tool for multiple purposes, this one buys you mobility at the expense of some power (compared to a shop vac). I’d still buy this over a shop vac in space limited circumstances.
Hey Milwaukee, Where are the LED’s for working in dark corner’s or under desks like so many of your other tools have? If there is one thing that makes this feel like it’s not quiet as well designed as other tools, it’s the absence of the LED’s for small dark corners when using the vac without attachments. The latch feels a bit awkward… but it’s livable, it does seal up well. Those LED’s are needed when the product gets a refresh!

This vacuum has plenty of power for what it is. It will eat up a battery in a hurry. My biggest complaint is they put the latch to open the dust compartment in the stupidest place possible. It’s hard to open and even a bigger pain to close. Why didn’t they put it on the front of the compartment. The filter is also hard to remove if you have big hands. All in all it works pretty good its not like the old dust busters that wouldn’t pickup anything.

I usually read all the bad reviews first when I do research on a product. I had a Dewalt vacuum which was too big to fit in my tool box. I had M18 batteries so I decided to buy the Milwaukee. The people that wrote bad reviews either received a bum unit or just don’t realize how these work. All portable vacuums eat batteries like crazy, that’s why I bring 2 fully charged batteries to every job. Also, this is not a shop vac you are going to hook up to your table saw and run for hours. If you do on location work in homes where you need to clean up after this is great. It’s small, has attachments, easy to empty, has the most suction of any portable I have tried, and the battery life isn’t any worse than others.

Used it to vacuum out my cars/SUV. Portable and could sit it on the seat and have the hose and end attachment reach all the areas needed. Have it the garage and can grab it anytime easily. Can dump out the canister every time I use it. Bought couple extra HEPA filters slso
