As per other comments we’ve had our washer less than a year when we started having problems. Our washer will not spin but will continue to add water. Error of unbalanced load, even for small ones. I will have to reposition the clothes or whatever I am washing, put it on spin only and keep doing that until it spins or my husband can come home and fix it. Forget washing bedding in it too! We don’t have the money for a new one so it’s stuck with this. Do your research before purchasing a washer especially this one!
Hate This Machine –
You’d do better to beat your clothes against rocks in a river than to buy this machine. I purchased this machine in May 2018, and already the bleach cup has TOTALLY RUSTED out, water is leaking somewhere from the bottom of the machine and down through the floor of my house, and it takes almost 2 hours to wash one load of laundry!!! Because it’s outside of the warranty, I need to purchase a new washer! This is the worst piece of crap I’ve ever blew money on! Samsung used to be my go-to brand, but after this I will NEVER purchase ANYTHING with SAMSUNG on it again!! Don’t waste your money!!!

I have had this washer machine for 3 years and this is the second time the top has come completely off and needed of repair. I refuse to pay again for another top for this washer. Do not buy

I bought the set about 6 months ago and it is the worst washer I’ve ever owned. It takes forever to wash a load of clothes. It’s always off balance. I can’t afford to buy a new one right now but when I do I doubt it will be a Samsung. All of my appliances are Samsung so this was truly a disappointment
Loyal Samsung user –
Was very excited to be purchasing my first washer machine with my hard earned money as an adult after owning a home and always having small renters washers that would make me go out to laundromats for large items such as comforter and blankets. Initially purchased it for its “large capacity” the ad states “Large 5.0 cu. ft. Capacity. Fewer loads, less time in the laundry room, and more time doing the things you love” a completely false statement! large loads will not only take forever but you will continously get an UB alert meaning its unbalanced,
I have tried numerous methods and searched YouTube tips such as trying a smaller load or aligning all the clothes around the rim in a circular method allowing for space to be in the middle to no avail! The only good thing about this washer is that it may use less water to wash but I can guarantee you will be using your dryer much more as it leaves the clothes soaking wet to where you have to wring them out one by one… the absolute worse personal washer money can buy.

I just got this washer and already know it’s a bad decision. Unless you deep fill, the clothes on top never get wet so they never get washed. The clothes also never tumble or move in any way, impellers are garbage. It’s my first machine with an impeller and I’m and greatly disappointed that Samsung would charge so much for this garbage.

I got the washer 2 year ago and today is going of balance Every time I wash my clothes the quality is horrible and for the Samsung repair they wanted to charge more than 500 dollars which is practically a new one!
I don’t recommend this model, many people have told me that it has come out bad! I don’t recommend it

I am a mom of 3 girls and I have done years and years of laundry. When it was time to get a new washer I only wanted a Samsung because I trusted the name so much! I purchased a model WA50R5200AWH washer on 4/12/21 and it was working great until about 8 months ago. During the spin cycle, it began to go off balance with a code of “Ub”. I did not worry about it at first because I would adjust the clothes, and it would be ok. The problem continued.
We had the washer looked at by an appliance repairman, and we were told the loads we are doing are too large because there was nothing wrong with any of the components. I did not understand this because we have a 7-year-old washer on our main floor that is much smaller. We put the same size loads in and it handles them without a problem.
We are at a point where this machine is almost unusable and I am afraid it will ruin our home we because it bounces around so much. This is not right! Samsung needs to stand by it’s appliance.

I’ve had this washer for about 3 years and it is breaking the plastic part where the door opens. It’s cracked it and it’s getting worse. The washer displays it as unbalanced and just goes crazy shaking the whole machine. We make sure it’s balanced put less clothes and still does the same. Not sure how long it will last me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an outstanding washer! At first, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I went to this unit largely because the space of my laundry closet dictated a very limited size, and this unit met that criteria. I was a little worried that it did not have the high-end features I was used to. This washer is one of Samsung’s mid-range models in terms of features and price. However, my expectations were exceeded in almost every way, and I can honestly say this unit is better than my prior top of the line front loader. The clothes come out cleaner, with fewer wrinkles, and in a shorter amount of time. The huge 5.0 cubic feet capacity of the machine means I can do double the laundry I could see previously in one wash. The washer features a laundry sensor that determines how much laundry is in the unit and fills the water. The sensor works great filling the proper water each time without wasting unnecessary water. The unit has ten preset cycles, (normal, heavy duty, whites, bedding/waterproof, perm press, quick wash, delicates, rinse&spin, spin only, and self-clean), which is honestly more than I need. However, I was excited to see a bedding/waterproof cycle designed for washing mattress covers, comforters, and other heavy bedding. This is a great cycle and effectively cleans my King-size mattress cover and comforter with ease and even my dog’s bed covers. Seven additional cycles are combos of the other cycles, where you can adjust temperature and time. Compared to the old front loader, this washer is whisper quiet. You cannot hear it outside of my laundry closet, even on the spin cycle – a huge plus for doing laundry at night when the kids are sleeping. Unique to this unit is a water dispenser that effectively turns your washer into a laundry sink for pretreating or prewashing stains. Samsung calls the sink feature the Active WaterJet. It’s a great feature I use all the time. The self-closing lid is also a nice addition. The unit is efficient and Energy Star. I uses something like $9 a year in electricity. This machine is a beast and washes better than my very expensive front loaders. I would highly recommend this unit. I would buy it over many of the higher priced units.
