Ice maker is a piece of crap, design stinks. Quick working in under a year, replaced the ice maker but did not fixit. Defrosted the lines and air duct, no luck. Resorted to buying a counter top ice maker and tried emptying that in the ice bin of the refrigerator, but it melted. Gave up, now a drain is clogged and the tray under the top drawer fills with water, ices up, and leaks all over the floor.

LOVE the middle pull out drawer that you don’t have to open the double doors to get sandwich stuff out of. Ice maker is a little loud for my liking. Maybe once it gets broken in it will quiet down a bit. Overall very happy with it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this new Whirlpool refrigerator 2 weeks ago because our previous Whirlpool fridge finally gave out…after 25 YEARS!!!! We chose the WRX986SIHZ model because of the great features, fridge/freezer configuration, shelf design, and overall simplicity of operations. We chose Whirlpool because of their incredible reliability and reputation. Did I mention already that our previous Whirlpool fridge lasted 25 YEARS? Oh yeah…I did. Oh well, it is worth mentioning twice. This new WRX986SIHZ model is a perfect product because it’s not too basic, and it isn’t too gimmicky. It fits our needs perfectly, and looks amazing in our kitchen.

Like the refrigerator drawer and 3 freezer drawers. Easy to see times with clear glass shovels. Great feature is the 2 produce drawers are mounted on the bottom – much better to handle the weight and glide easier- just wish Whirlpool didn’t make the bins smaller than most refrigerator bins. It is much quieter than I expected. Just purchased last week. Still getting used to having to use both hands to open with French Style doors, prefer 1 door – then other hand free to remove or put in food items, doors don’t open 180* either. Like the programable water feature- don’t need to stand and hold lever while filling cup and great for measuring out ounces for cooking. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

After 15 years, our old Whirlpool refrigerator retired and we decided to replace it with another Whirlpool brand. I’m so impressed with the new features of this ref specially the spacious compartment that I can keep foods and drinks easily and neatly. The freezer have 2 extra drawers to segregate frozen food like meat and ice cream and there’s also place for pizza and TV dinner boxes. I just hope the ice maker will produce ice faster, but it work well too. This ref also have air filter to keep it smell fresh. I love it and hope it will also last for longer years like the old one! We bought our new Whirlpool fridge in late May, shortly after moving into our new home. It replaced a much smaller, much older one that had no ice maker, and much less space. This fridge has so much to offer, with multiple temperature zones, exterior ice and water dispenser, large freezer drawer with a secondary drawer inside it, and a spacious middle drawer for cold cuts, cheeses, and veggies. Oh, and it also has TWO compressors – 1 for the freezing unit, and the other for the lower temperature zones, in order to prevent overworking a single compressor. We also love the stainless surface that is coated to prevent fingerprints and smudging! We love the fridge so much we’re going to eventually replace the old stove and antiquated dishwasher with Whirlpool products! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this refrigerator over a month ago and so far we are pleased with it. It runs quiet and little noise when making ice but no big deal. Love the middle draw plenty of room for everything. The freezer is great also with the drawers we are able to fit so much we can’t believe it. Love the gallon storage shelves on the door that freed up so much space in the refrigerator and the shelves in the refrigerator are adjustable and go all the way back there is no gap. I just can’t belueve how much space there is. Our old refrigerator was a 24 cu ft and we couldn’t fit nearly what we do in here. Look all those special details like the draw for fresh herbs the sliding shelf. Never had water dispenser on the door but so far we are happy with it. Love the finish definitely does not show fingerprints. Also if height is an issue this refrigerator is perfect it’s 68 5/8 high not 70 inches line so many other new refrigerators. We are so happy to have found one that fit and had the black stainless finish along with so many great features.
